Best $2.55 I’ve spent recently… not the sturdiest cable, but if you’re not knocking around behind your TV it shouldn’t matter. Don’t know if it’s 1080p, but it makes the images on my PS3 look a hell of a lot better than with the A/V cables. I lost sound once, but after I turned the TV off and on it came back; I don’t know what the issue is there, but it was a one-time occurrence, so I’m not too worried.

This purchase helped me defy one of the more egregious electronics scams on the market, which would be to sell this kind of wire for more than $10. I was sold an HDMI cable at Best Buy for $40 when I bought my TV, but didn’t open it when I found out the HDTV cable box I had installed came with it’s own cable. The cable guy told me to get a Monster cable, but after realizing I was charged nothing for the HDMI cable he just installed for me, I decided to browse Amazon for something cheaper.

Lo and behold, the most expensive cables were Monster (100’s of dollars), and the cheapest was at SFPlanet, which did not tax me, nor did they charge me a shipping fee, so kudos to them. I returned the $40 cable to Best Buy, and waited for this lovely cable to show in the mail. It only took a week, and was worth the wait.

Long story short, if you don’t have rambunctious kids or dogs or anything that might destroy this cable, this is the best value for the money. I would also recommend SFPlanet, as they didn’t charge me taxes or shipping (I’m in NY, not sure if this applies to everyone).
